Nokia today announce the first Cseries phone, C5-00. The C5 is a smartphone packed into a feature phone body, boasting S60 3rd edition and a host of messaging and social networking features built in. It also boasts a bright 2.2-inch display and a 3.2-megapixel camera. It also comes packing free walk and drive navigation courtesy of Ovi Maps and is ready for messaging with Nokia Messaging built in.

The Nokia C5 boasts a cool new feature in its phone book, where you can see your friends status updates directly from Facebook. You can also update your Facebook status easily and share your location with Ovi Maps 3.0.

Available in white and warm grey, the Nokia C5 will be available in the second quarter of 2010 globally in Europe, Eurasia, SEAP, China and MEA with €135.

At the mean time, Nokia also announce their new name convention. There are now four series of devices – Nokia Cseries, Xseries, Eseries and Nseries. Within each series of devices, we’re seeing a new range of numbers, from 1 to 9, each signifying the range of functionality on offer, and the approximate prices of the devices – 1 being the lowest and 9 being the highest.

Nseries remains the flagship and most advanced range of products. Xseries comes next and focuses on social entertainment. Eseries remains focussed on productivity and business whilst Cseries represents the core range of products.

Let's know what you think of it in the comments. :)

Thanks for your suggestions. One thing I've noticed is that often banks along with financial institutions are aware of the spending behavior of consumers and understand that a lot of people max out there their own credit cards around the holidays. They prudently take advantage of that fact and commence flooding the inbox and snail-mail box with hundreds of Zero APR card offers right after the holiday season comes to an end. Knowing that if you are like 98% in the American community, you'll leap at the opportunity to consolidate credit debt and move balances to 0 APR credit cards.

im american but live in europe off and on due to visa requirements etc but 8 months ago i got an EU passport through my folks and moved back here. this is the 1st time i have been able to stay longer than 6 mnths and was pretty much an idiot and spent all my money.

my money btw was really my credit card so now im about 10 grand in debt.

my folks own a restaurant in the states that is quite successful and i know i ll make the money back as i have the last 3 times - but the thought of me going back to their tiny city and missing summer in italy is making me sick.

i do know however that if i get a job here now (which is impossible) i have to start from scratch to a) pay back the 10 grand and b) pay rent, etc i even moved to the uk 6 mnths ago to find a job and no luck even though i have perfect english, 14 yrs experience in the business and an EU passport.

if i go home for 5 mnths i can pay off that debt and then go back to italy with some cash in sept, jsut needing a job to stay afloat.

i dont really get along with my sister who lives at home and id be living there too to save $$ and im prety sure i ll have a nervous breakdown but it's the financially smart thing to do at this stage right? (dont even tell me i ve been stupid up til now cos i know)

i d buy a return ticket so would for sure go back in sept - just miss an awesome summer.
